Ok everyone knows sugar is extreamely bad for your teeth, the oral bacteria that break this down into acid tear through enamal like nothing. So why is this stuff in my Listerine mouthrinse? I know it’s a sugar substitute but does it break down in the mouth and harm enamal like sugar?

Best answer:

Answer by essentiallysolo
it is used precisely because it doesn’t break down like glucose. in fact it isn’t used by the body at all, it goes right through you.

Question by Bubbly: Where did the idea of covering your mouth when you cough/sneeze/yawn originate?
I know theres the hygiene side but is there abother reason and where did it come from?

Best answer:

Answer by hunsbunstonsoffun
It origionates back from the time of the quakers, they believed that when you sneezed, you sneezed out your soul, hence why everyone also says “God Bless You!” to make the soul go back in and you cover your mouth to hinder it from getting out…

Also it’s higene, I mean, germs are bad and you don’t want to go sneezing them all over people! lol

dentistindenverco.com Cosmetic Dentist Denver CO, Dr. Charles S. Barotz speaks about dental braces and dental hygiene. Performing proper dental care is recommended by all dentistry professionals. Proper tooth care helps us avoid terrible dental diseases like tooth cavities, gingivitis, gum disease, periodontitis, and prevent tooth extractions. However it is a bit harder to perform good dental hygiene if you have dental braces. There is a few different types of dental braces. There is the traditional denrtal braces which are made of of metal wires , mainly used to straighten crooked teeth. There is also the invisalign dental braces used on patients that inquire minor dental alignment. However people with dental braces have to be more careful when brushing their teeth. Brushing after every meal is ideal, which helps prevent cavities and prevent food from getting stuck between the braces. Dr. Charles S. Barotz mentions that individuals should consider the tips mentioned, however if neglected periodontal problems will develop in the mouth, and the treatment will be very uncomfortable for them. Image by Chapendra
Being personal now, I may be the worst person when it comes to brushing my teeth. My teeth are full of lil yellow sweaters! I hate it, I constantly am trying new tooth brushes [buying kiddy ones with action figures and such that distract me] along with any new-latest and great care stuff [mouth wash, etc].

I just still can’t get over the taste of a gross mouth before OR after so it is a battle I fight morning and night. I frankly don’t know what to do anymore, I need braces badly but that involves better starting teeth [and insurance].
I did this just so I can see that no matter how gross, how foamy gag, how upset my stomach gets — I need to brush *my* teeth.

This ramble about teeth care is enforced by FGR and "protecting" my extreme expressions.

Question by SillyGirl: Bad Oral Hygiene and How to Improve?
I floss, rinse, and brush twice a day so why are my teeth so bad? I had three rootcanals done 10 years ago and all three are now falling out. Two teeth are completely gone. My top two wisdom teeth have cavities and one has chipped away.

HELP!!!! What am I doing wrong. Admitidly I had a cocain addiction 3 years ago that lasted for a year and I use to smoke pot chronically up to 4 months ago. I hope this has something to do with it and that not doing it will mean I”m on the road to a healthy mouth.

I guess I want to know how often should I be flossing, rinsing and brushing and if certain mouth washes are better (right now I use listerine) for tooth decay (which I suspect I have loads of) and anything else I can do so that when I fix the existing problems I don’t have anymore.
