I am trying to whiten my teeth really fast because I have an important event to go to in a week. Is there a special toothpaste that would help my teeth become more whitened?? Thanks

I have just had braces installed and we have bought different toothpaste than we normally do (Enamel Care by Arm and Hammer) and have bought fluoride mouthwash. I’m just wondering if it is good to use the mouthwash straight after I brush my teeth cause it will wash away the good toothpaste protein or whatever it is that’s good. Should I try and just use the mouthwash after meals and use the toothpaste in morning and night? Thanks in advance.

I know you can have too much which causes teeth the become weak and fall out. but can you have too little?

Im in my twenties, do i still need fluoride?

do they account for the flouride in toothpaste, mouthwash, foods, and drugs like prozac when they decide how much to put in our water? if so is the amount in water enough to do any good, if not could i be overexposed?

I’m sure I was once told by a dentist that came into my primary school that you shouldn’t wash your mouth out after you’ve brushed your teeth because then the toothpaste doesn’t have the full effect.
I’ve just read on Yahoo! responds that leaving toothpaste in your mouth makes them yellow? Is this true?

Also, on a different note, how much does it cost (in the UK) to have your teeth whitened by a dentist? Is it worth it?

I assume nearly every toothpaste has a generous amount of fluoride…why must we shower and wash in it? What else is really in our water supply (LA & OC area) and is it necessary ?

I’m 16 years old, and after reading an article on the damage done by ingesting too much fluoride, am a bit concerned that I might be using too much toothpaste. I use enough to cover the head of the toothbrush. Is that too much?

Okay I have tried tons of toothpastes!!! I want to find one that whitens but actually cleans the teeth. That’s safe and has the dentist approval thingy. I also want it to make my breath smell better. All the ones I tried made it smell lousy! I also need to know your opinion on whitening strips? Which give best results? Do you think that they don’t work? Is it better to get a dentist to do it? There’s the fact that toothpaste already has .15% fluoride, which makes me wonder why a rinse would be beneficial to use.
There’s "act" rinse, but it also contains sorbitol and dyes, and that can’t be good for your teeth.
I’ve see a product called "Phos-flur" which seems to be potent, but geared toward people with braces.
Any dentists out there have the respond?
